Join the ARC-PA in St. Louis, July 8-10, 2012 for its annual summer accreditation workshop. This summer’s workshop will be open to program directors, medical directors, principal faculty and deans from currently accredited programs.
Programs are limited to two attendees per program. As space is limited, priority will be given to individuals from those programs scheduled for site visits between January 2013 and December 2016 and to individuals who did not attend the summer workshops in 2009, 2010 or 2011. This workshop is not open to individuals from unaccredited developing programs.
Workshop registration deadline is June 4, 2012
The workshop provides an overview of the accreditation process including sessions designed to give participants the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the interpretation of individual Standards. Sessions will include discussion of the accreditation manual to include ARC-PA policies and methods of demonstrating compliance with the Standards. Presentations will include information on how to use the Standards as a planning tool for your program, especially in light of the new self-study report format. Facilitators will address the program data management portal and the new ARC-PA annual report.
Registrants will be place in breakout groups for portions of the workshop. Depending on the backgrounds of the registrants, breakout groups will be focused on issues of institutional support, preparing the accreditation application, completing the self-study report or using the program data management portal.
This workshop will focus on bringing the Standards, accreditation manual and application components together as a working tool for programs. Sessions will address the consistency of data collected over time in the new ARC PA annual report.
