No Summer 2016 Workshops (2.3.16) The ARC-PA will not be hosting a summer accreditation workshop or a summer provisional conference this year. This year the ARC-PA is focused on activities in support of the longer interval between validation reviews, changes in personnel, the beginning of a Standards review process, and increased use of the portal for programs. The ARC-PA and PAEA are discussing potential options for coordinated workshops and the timing of these. Programs will be notified of any workshops or conference offerings as they develop.

Change in Executive Associate Director (1.20.16) Effective April 1, 2016, Ms. Suzanne York, PA-C MPH, will replace Ms. Laura Stuetzer, MS, PA as the Associate Executive Director of the ARC-PA as Ms Stuetzer retires. For more information.....

New Assistant Director Added (1.20.16) Ms. Dawn Ludwig, PhD, PA-C joined the ARC-PA January 1, 2016 as the newest of several Assistant Directors. Dawn was previously a commissioner-at-large for the ARC-PA and worked as faculty and program director at the Augsburg College PA program.

Position Openings (1.11.16) The ARC-PA is searching for an additional assistant director to work full time in the corporate office in Johns Creek, Georgia. We are also seeking several additional accreditation specialists to work on a part time basis. Information regarding these positions, is provided at on this website on the Employment page.

Change in Class Size (12.15..2015) A new packet to request a change in class size is available. This packet has been adapted for requests for incremental class size increase, as approved by the commission in September, 2015. The packet is available on the program change form page.

Clinical Postgraduate PA Program Annual Report (1.27.2015): Accredited Clinical Postgraduate PA programs will NOT have to complete the ARC-PA Program Management Portal (Portal) Annual reports due for the 2014-2015 time period, but are asked to update and maintain as current their portal data in all tabs except the budget tab. .......more

Clinical Postgraduate Accreditation in Abeyance (8.4.2014) The current accreditation process for Clinical Postgraduate PA programs is being held in abeyance. Abeyance applies to those programs with the status of Accreditation – Clinical Postgraduate Program as well as those that have received correspondence with a formal timeline to attain accreditation by the commission. IMPORTANT SOFTWARE REMINDER TO PROGRAMS: (12.2014) All application documents, templates, change forms and reports due to the ARC-PA are developed in Microsoft Office 2010 and may not be compatible with Office 2007 and earlier.   Programs must be able to complete forms and applications in current software.
